Perturbation TheoryPerturbations? What in the world is that? Perturbation theory is a mathematical method that gives approximate solutions to problems that cannot be solved exactly. From the alterations or effects on an object's orbit caused by gravitational interactions with other bodies scientists look to see from whence that action may be originating. Clear as mud?
Practically speaking, we discovered Uranus because of "effects-perturbations" on Saturn. We discovered Neptune because of "effects-perturbations" on Uranus. And, we discovered Pluto because of "effects-perturbations" upon Neptune. And now is where it gets interesting. What is causing the perturbations on our whole solar system, including of course the sun? Now we get into a mixture of science, mythology, speculation, and conjecture. Ready for some fun? Basically since, 1940 things have been happening in our solar system that aren't normal- regularly occurring. Primarily our sun is acting up with massive solar flares and that's not good. In this current "sun cycle" (which are eleven year cycles) the sun at it's low or passive level is 40% more intense. If that carries over into the sun's most active cycle (2012), we've got a problem Houston (and the entire planet). Not only do we have planet warming, we have galactic warming. Why? We also are seeing plasma anomalies, inordinate solar flare activity, electromagnetic changes between planets in our solar system, atmospheric increases in brightness, a clustering of comets, missing Kuiper belt objects, and increasing in strength of tornadoes, hurricanes, and earthquakes here on earth. There are two theories of these many perturbations: (1) We don't have a clue, and (2) There's a large brown dwarf out there (Planet X- Nibiru) that's closing in and causing all these perturbations. We may not know the answer to #1 right away; however, if it is due to the 3,600 (estimated guess) visit of Planet X, we'll know that in the next 12-18 months. We've sent enough satellites into space and built enough telescopes here on planet earth to pick up this big and hot piece of charcoal that's currently too far away and too dark to pick up. As an aside, is there anything perturbing you? :-) Category: Environment |
