THE DREAM THAT CAME TRUE



Naledi was a poor child of Dan and Lora. Dan was a daily labourer while Nancy done all the domestic works. Naledi was only four years old. She had a friend named Judy in her neighborhood. They both always play together. Judy was a rich girl; however, she loved to play with Naledi who is a poor. Judy got many dolls to play with. Every day she played with new dolls. Judy always asks Naledi to take one doll from her but she refused to accept that. Nevertheless, Naledi also longed to have one, she did not tell her father about her wish because she knew the problems facing by Dan everyday. The money earned by Dan is not enough for the living of three. He always does overtime in his work to earn more. Therefore, she does not want her father to work more for her silly wish. One day after having her dinner, she went to her bed early. Meanwhile Lora informed Dan that next day is Naledi’s birthday. She heard her parents talking about her and started to dream something. Even after her parents were asleep, she did not sleep. She woke up and started to watch the night beauties through her window. Soon she saw some thing flying towards her. She was scared but when she saw that clearly, she understood that it is an angel coming to pick her to another world. Naledi followed the angel and at the end, they both reached in front of a huge gate. When the angel spelled some prayer, the door opened for them. To Naledi’s surprise, it was the world of dolls. She ran towards them and started to play with them. There were many kinds of dolls. Her mind filled with happiness. She spent a lot of time with them and started to take some rest. Later she heard some one calling her name. She waked suddenly and found Lora standing in front of her. She woke happily and told her mother that she was in the world of dolls. Lora laughed and hugged her. She also wished her happy birthday. After her daily routine, she found her father waiting for her to come. Dan handed a box to her. It was her first experience to receive a present in a box. She untied it and found a teddy bear in it. She thanked her parents and ran out to show her gift to Judy. Naledi got surprised when she saw Judy waiting for her. Judy gave a cover to Naledi and wished her happy birthday. She thanked her and started to open it. Again, to her amazement she found another doll. She was unable to say anything to Judy. They played with her new doll for a long time. Later Naledi understood the plan of the angel who visited her visited her in the last night.
